Please read our policies on COVID-19. Click here >>

We look forward to welcoming you when you stay with us however we have had to make some changes due to the Covid Pandemic as we play our part in preventing an escalation of the virus.

Businesses in the three glens area – Invermoriston, Fort Augustus and Glengarry – are working together following Scottish Government guidelines to reopen safely when allowed to do so.

Guests must STRICTLY adhere to our check-in and check-out times which are 4pm – 8pm and 7.30am – 10am so that the rooms can be fully cleaned and aired between guests.  Please do NOT to come to the property before the check-in time.
We will ask to take your temperature on entry and ask if you are well – if not they need to go and seek medical help.  Guests must wear their facial covering whilst in the property but not in their room (apart from breakfast), and we would ask them to thoroughly wash their hands when entering and leaving their room and to keep socially distant from guests not in their party and ourselves.
Hand sanitiser will be available.
Breakfast will be at set times with guests socially distanced, chosen the evening before with a table service if possible and no buffet style selection.  We will also serve food in masks, gloves and disposable apron.  We are still awaiting guidelines from the Scottish Government as to whether we can serve breakfast in the dining room or whether we have to provide a breakfast in their room, which in that case would not be a cooked breakfast but a continental one.  We will not provide our usual home bakes but individual packs of biscuits for their tea trays.
All linen will be changed as usual when a guest leaves and washed at 60 degrees, but now duvet and pillows will also be changed after each guest leaves and used in a rotation of 72 hours.
Extra blankets, pillows and cushions will not now be left in the rooms but will be available on request.
We will continue to thoroughly clean the rooms and facilities after each guest leaves, paying special attention to touch points ie handles, light switches, remote controls etc.
All cutlery and breakfastware has always and will continue to be washed in a dishwasher at the highest heat setting.
We will no longer be able to offer to lend books or DVDs.
Unfortunately we will have to limit our interaction with guests for the time being.
We will continue to offer packed lunches as required which will be prepared using masks, gloves and disposable apron, pre-ordered the evening before.
We have been advised that either the Glenmoriston Arms Hotel or the Glen Rowan Cafe will reopen this year, but not both, for evening meals.  If the Hotel opens your guests will need to ring and book a table, their phone number is 01320 351206.  If the Cafe opens it will be a take-away service so the guests will need to ring and order a meal for collection, their phone number is 01320 351208.  We will update this information as soon as decisions are made by these businesses.
The above measures are subject to change when the Scottish government publishes further guidelines for hospitality establishments.
